Call Impact Innovation: Digital product passports - Swedish Metals & Minerals

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to enable an efficient and profitable implementation of digital product passports across the entire value chain of the Swedish metal industry. We bring together industry, research actors, and trade organizations to develop solutions that ensure fair and transparent information reporting in line with upcoming regulations.

Expected effects and result

The expected outcome of the project is scientific and technical foundations for fair and transparent reporting of DPP information. Through pilot studies, concepts for technical solutions and organizational approaches will be demonstrated. The effect will be an increased capability within the Swedish metal industry to quickly and efficiently implement digital product passports.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will conduct four pilot studies in different parts of the metal value chain to test and demonstrate digital product passports. A coordinating work package is responsible for monitoring developments and interpreting regulations, as well as disseminating information and sharing knowledge through open seminars, workshops, and publications.
