Purpose and goal
The feasibility study aims to plan the start-up of Digital Arena Sweden, a national test center that coordinates existing and new resources for the development and testing of connected digital infrastructure. The goal is to facilitate the development and testing of advanced digital services in industrial areas of strength, with a focus on 5G and 6G and related digital infrastructure.
Expected effects and result
The project will result in a scalable test arena that enables cross-industry collaboration, faster innovation, and improved competitiveness for Swedish industry. The effects include strengthened national leadership in connected digital services, increased cybersecurity, resource efficiency, sustainability, and an attractive platform for national and international actors.
Planned approach and implementation
The feasibility study will be conducted from May to October 2025 in five work packages: needs analysis, technical architecture, partner mobilization, business model and communication. The work is led by RISE together with AstaZero, Ericsson and Telia, and involves a broad reference group from industry, government and academia to anchor results and prepare a subsequent large-scale implementation project.
