Purpose and goal
The construction sector is fragmented with isolated systems and processes, causing communication issues and inefficient workflows. The project develops a digital ecosystem with end-to-end functionality to improve coordination and data flows. A digital twin enables intelligent simulation and optimization, reducing errors and enhancing decision-making.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to improve coordination and efficiency in the construction sector by developing a methodology for automated data collection and orchestration of digital twins. This will enable intelligent planning, optimization and real-time control, reducing delays, cost overruns and environmental impact.
Planned approach and implementation
The project runs for 2.5 years, divided into six work packages with participation from all partners. The methodology includes real-life case studies, development and testing of digital solutions, and iterative trials in two phases. Phase one focuses on basic digital systems, while phase two tests autonomous processes and intelligent decision support.
