Purpose and goal

The aim has been to further develop a common offer that make test beds at RISE more open to different users, like SME and universites. RISE 127 test beds have become more known and more used by companies in the innovation process. The big plants with high investment costs is hard to use for SMEs and universites without financel support, like checks and common projects. Still investments are made at a high level at the RISE institutes, including additive manufacturing (3D).

Expected results and effects

The project has further developed and implemented a common offer from the RISE institutes. Accessibility to the testbeds has increased due to new form of financial support, quality assurance and a strict IPR policy. The project will help RISE to increase the income at the testbeds . RISE will be more attractive as R&D partner both on a national and international level. In total RISE has a stronger buisness case. The new ToD office at RISE will increase the internal and external support.

Planned approach and implementation

The implementation of the project is split into six different work packages each corresponding to different parts of the offer. All institutes participate in each work package and is managed by a representative from one of the institute. They report to the main leader of the project. The project model has supported cooperation between the institutes. This has been very importand in creating the new RISE structure . Three of four RISE institutes have merged together and can now give a common offer. The new ToD office will coordinate the work at RISE.
