Important results from the project
The project aimed to develop a scalable process for producing personalized 3D-printed arterial scaffolds for treating vascular disorders. The project resulted in optimized bioink formulations, improved 3D printing methods including solution-blowing technology. The results of this project will contribute to a scalable process for creating personalized 3D-printed arterial scaffolds for treating vascular disorders.
Expected long term effects
The results generated by the project are expected to lead to continued collaboration and development.
Approach and implementation
VERIGRAFT collaborated with RISE as an infrastructure to develop improved biomaterials for the 3D printing and solution blowing of arterial vessel scaffolds to be used in VERIGRAFTs personalization process. RISE was responsible for the development of the materials and the scaffodl generation. VERIGRAFT coordinated the project and was responsible for the evaluation of the materials.
