Purpose and goal
The project aims to develop the successful research collaboration between Riksmätplatsen and Umeå University. In this project, it will primarily be through support and supervision of a common doctoral student. The aim of the ongoing doctoral project, and thus this project, is to develop new optical measurement techniquesto measure refractivity, density and pressure. The aim is also to work to maximize the outcome of the PhD student´s work in order to maximize future benefits beyond the academic environment.
Expected results and effects
The project is expected to develop new measurement methods that will improve the ability of Riksmätplatsen to measure pressure and density in the long run. The effect of this will be that we will be able to offer society and industry higher quality on gas measurements. This is important as pressure measurements are critical in several production processes and the monitoring of them.
Planned approach and implementation
The work will be done through active supervision of a doctoral student to maximize the benefit of the PhD student´s work. This will be done through regular meetings and technical support in the PhD student´s work. Furthermore, work will be done to further develop the project and cooperation with other external partners, as well as actively work to disseminate the results from the work.
