Purpose and goal
The aim was to further develop the service BuildSafe so that it improved safety in the construction industry and added a clear value for the users. The goal was to commercialise the service and focus on realizing input for further development from the KTH study. The aim of commercialising BuildSafe was achieved 6 months earlier than expected. In December 2015, the company got its first paying customers due to the fact that the aim was achieved.
Expected results and effects
BuildSafe was expected to contribute to improved safety and create great benefits for its users. The service was also expected to be suitable for small, mid-sized and large companies and have paying customers. The results are very positive: 1) BuildSafe contributes improved safety and utility for users, 2) the service is used by both some of the largest and smallest companies and 3) has paying customers.
Planned approach and implementation
In parallel with the KTH study BuildSafe was to further develop the service with the help of financing from Vinnova. The contact with industry groups included in the KTH study led to very good feedback which in turn helped to create a service that met the needs of the market.
