Purpose and goal
The project aims to develop a plan for a new, environmentally sustainable nebulizer that can rapidly deliver a drug to dissolve mucus plugs in the lungs. The solution will work both in healthcare and in emergency situations, improving treatment for serious lung diseases while strengthening societal preparedness.
Expected effects and result
The project will deliver a decision-ready development plan for a green, dual-use nebulization device, reducing technical and regulatory risks. In the long term, it will enable faster and more effective treatment of severe lung diseases while strengthening healthcare systems and societal preparedness in emergency situations.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out in two phases. First, technical solutions, drug–device compatibility, sustainability, and regulatory requirements will be analyzed. Next, a development plan will be created, including target profile, regulatory strategy, and commercialization pathway. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with external experts and guided by structured analyses and decision points.
