Important results from the project
The support from Vinnova has made it possible to create possibilities to construct what we aim to become the world´s most climate-smart detached restaurant building. The investigation of technical and design conditions has been conducted. Included: A) Building permits, that are amended against implementation, recycling and energy based on a sustainability investigation B) General description and architectural plans C) Project plans such as building documents, measured plans, detailed drawings, choice of material, construction of recycling system, energy solutions and so on.
Expected long term effects
The result of the project is that we now are ready to go on in the process of constructing what we aim to become the world´s most climate-smart detached restaurant building. The building will be built as a combined restaurant and greenhouse. Waste heat from the restaurant will be used to heat the greenhouse, which contributes to higher productivity at a low cost for both the business and the environment. Grey water from the restaurant will be recycled together with rain water to lower the use of our common fresh water reserves. The goal is to create a sustainable fast food chain.
Approach and implementation
Stenmark Pizza Burgare AB has project managed and pushed to make all participants in the project to challenge prevalent construction standards. Tailor Made Arkitekter AB has made the design and produced documents for construction. Emulsionen Ekonomisk förening has calculated embodied energy. This has made it possible to value choice of materials against each other from a sustainability view. Eco Relief has primarily produced documents on configuration of the recycle system of grey water and contributed as a sounding board regarding cultivation.
