Important results from the project
Vinnova’s support enabled Medoma, together with Civitta, to develop a coherent and competitive EIC Accelerator application. The project included workshops, analysis, and development of all components for Step 1 and Step 2. The objective was fully achieved, and the work also resulted in a clearer business model, implementation plan, financial planning, and a stronger foundation for Medoma’s continued scaling.
Expected long term effects
If funded, the project will enable Medoma to further develop and validate its AI-powered Hospital-at-Home platform for scalable acute care delivery at home. In the longer term, this can increase healthcare capacity, improve efficiency, reduce pressure on hospitals and staff, and help make decentralised acute care an established and scalable part of European healthcare systems. It will also have a significant impact on positioning Medoma at the forefront of Hospital-at-Home across Europe.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented as planned by the Medoma team, with strategic guidance from Civitta. The work encompassed the planning, analysis, and preparation of all sections of the EIC Accelerator Step 1 and Step 2 proposals — including company overview, technical excellence, technology development roadmap, and business strategy. Civitta provided structured support through targeted workshops, continuous feedback, and quality assurance to ensure a coherent, high-quality application.
