Important results from the project
The project purpose and targets are achieved because the demands and the requirements of the project target groups are identified. The prototype interfaces have been designed based on the demands from our target groups, design principles for a successful integrated management system and design principles for mobile solutions. The needs and requirements have been translated into critical management questions in order to find the relevant information to display in the solution.
Expected long term effects
Project targets: -Demands and requirements on the management system are identified in the target group. Critical management questions have been identified. -Prototype interfaces have been designed -One long term insight is the importance of simplicity and communicating information and data that is processed based on knowledge, role and workflow. The critical management questions need to bee answered with high level, pre processed, information to be useful for our target group.
Approach and implementation
Our process for identifying requirements and demands have been in focus during the project and have been developed further. The process has also inspired other development projects in the organization. Both the method of identifying requirements in a structured way, designing solutions, evaluating compliance with the broader requirement specification and the final solution inspired the project participants. Prototypes were sketched up and revised in order to create real, testable interface that will be the basis for further development of management systems and IT support.
