Important results from the project
With the financing support received from from Swedish Mining Innovation, the purpose of the project is to organize a strong project consortium and prepare a competitive project application in Horizon Europe call - HORIZON-CL4-2024-RESILIENCE-01-08: Rare Earth and magnet innovation hubs (IA). The deadline for the call 7th February 2024.
Expected long term effects
With the granted funding from SMI, a project consortium was well-organized. The consortium consists of 20 partners from Sweden, Finland, Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Estonia. In addition, there are 5 associate partners in the reference group. Collaborative efforts with Industry, Academia, and Research & Technology Organizations (RTOs) will enhance awareness and spread knowledge about both existing and novel R4 solutions. If the project is approved, it will be led by the Swedish partner of KTH.
Approach and implementation
The project includes three work packages (WPs), i.e. WP1-Formal administration of the grant; WP2-Horizon application preparation and WP3- Building project network.
