Purpose and goal

The goal of this project is to use the two national test beds in additive manufacturing (AM), DiLAM and DiSAM, to demonstrate how AM can be integrated into an innovative and sustainable advanced manufacturing supply chain. The project will address Produktion2030 areas of strength flexible production and resource efficient production through demonstration of four technology areas: hybrid AM, large scale AM, use of sustainable materials and strategies for digitalization of the AM supply chain.

Expected results and effects

The project will contribute to the areas of strength flexible production and resource efficient production through dissemination activities and by increasing the capabilities of the already established test beds though the development of the physical demonstrators. By showing solid demonstrator the intention is to not only inspire companies but clearly show the value of using AM and also invite them to test different innovative ideas in the test beds. This will lead to increased uptake of AM with the long term impact of increased competitiveness of the Swedish industry.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will address flexible production and resource efficient production through demonstration of four technology areas: hybrid AM, large scale AM, use of sustainable materials and strategies for digitalization of the AM supply chain. The technology areas will be demonstrated through development of physical and virtual demonstrators based on industrial use cases. The results will be showed at an open seminar/workshop day arranged with Produktion2030 and LIGHTer.
