Important results from the project
DEEPTECH started from an innovation-based vision where Sweden is a world leader in materials and production technologies for circularity – in the data-driven and emerging production technologies that make circular factories work on an industrial scale. The vision was formulated based on the first Vinnova-based the call for proposals, but now needs to be adapted to a new context. The team is expanded and merged with complementary teams and competencies for a more comprehensive approach.
Expected long term effects
We envision a cluster of excellence driven by a national industrial need. A need for rapid verification of products and services, virtual validation for industrialization, a focus on complex multifunctional products and services, and based on technologies for circular product and material flows. This will create a long term strong Swedish industry and sustainable societies.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented through discussion meetings, industry dialogues and participation in various workshops, both self-organized and arranged by others. The unclear plan for the investment in the Excellence Cluster as a whole naturally affected the implementation of the feasibility study. Several discussion meetings were held to meet the expected effects that were assumed to come. Many dialogues also took place with other feasibility studies, industry representatives and companies.
