Important results from the project
The goals for this project were as follows: * Identifying potential partners for an on-going project proposal. * Representing RISE at Cybertech 2020. * Identifying and understanding business opportunities for Swedish research and businesses. * Evaluating the cloud security offerings of companies present at CyberTech 2020.
Expected long term effects
The project fulfilled its main purpose, namely attending CyberTech Tel Aviv as part of the Swedish delegation and establishing new research and collaboration relations. Several positive aspects of the project are visible already now: identifying collaboration contacts at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and reviewing the offerings of cybersecurity start-ups in the field of cloud security. Other expected results include commercialization of research results from RISE Cybersecurity and join research project applications with organizations based in Israel.
Approach and implementation
The focus of the project was a short visit to Israel during January 27-30, 2020. The visit included participation at CyberTech 2020 and a visit to the Be´er Shiva tech hub. Both participation at CyberTech and the visit to Be´er Shiva included intensive networking and establishing new contacts for potential collabooration. Furthermore, both events helped gain a deeper understanding of the Israeli innovation environment.
