Important results from the project
The project’s goal was to manufacture tooling / configuration to increase the flexibility in the XYZ fibre arrangement in the reinforcement material. The project’s goal has been achieved through the design, manufacture and test of the tooling which has now increased the flexibility of the process to support production of a few different material configurations.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in a good design foundation/basis which will be further developed based on market inputs on other material configurations that need to be supported. The manufactured tooling has been used to produce a specific material configuration for a customer.
Approach and implementation
The project has been conducted by maintaining focus on the markets’ and customers’ specific requirements and inputs. The choice of fibre types and material configurations that the system should support in a first step has driven the design of the tooling.
