Purpose and goal

Strengthen CTS through a internal long-term strategy discussion, establishing a platform for 2025 for Swedish-Chinese road traffic research. Develop a CTS Strategic Roadmap document until 2025. Draft version ready, final version after peer-review. Strengthen the CTS partnership: VTI and Geely added as new partners, strengthening both the Swedich authority sector and the Chinese industrial sector.

Expected results and effects

The expected result of the project is to strengthen the CTS partnership, adding new partners and build a project portfolio towards 2025. The actional result has been very positive. New partners have joined and contributed to CTS; Autoliv, Tsinghua has participated and starting to contribute. VTI has joined as a new partners with strong contribution. Geely Automotive Research Institute has decided to join as Chinese industrial partner. Six project proposals have been submitted to the joint MOST-Vinnova call, in line with the strategic roadmap.

Planned approach and implementation

The work in the project has been done through a series of workshops in China and Sweden during 2017/2018. These workshop were held at the Swedish research base durig the fall 2017. A workshop was organised in Shanghai Oct 2017 adjacent to the board meeting and the Vision Zero session that were organised at the SAE-China annual conference.
