Important results from the project
The project has shown that with the help of the fat layer in the body, it is possible to get information secure all the way from sensors, in the body, through an aggregator to Alleato´s interface.
Expected long term effects
Tests have shown that fat can be used as a communication channel for sensors in the body to be distributed secured on internet. The next step is to work with sensor manufacturers to create a project to be able to commercialize the technology into a product ready for the market.
Approach and implementation
The project has followed the plan in general, however, we have had delays that were largely due to Covid. Bl.a. the university has been closed down so there has been no access to labs. But because we have been able to extend the project, we have managed what we set out to do. Most of the project partners have exceeded their budget except for the Department of Neuroscience, where fewer experiments than planned were performed due to delays and other tests performed. The project has enabled increased expertise regarding medical product development, including animal experiments.
