Conference in memory of Ola Bengtsson

Important results from the project

The conference aimed both at honoring the memory of Ola Bengtsson and at making Lund better known among finance researchers. We believe that the conference has met both objectives. The conference participants felt that it was a ´conferens that Ola would have liked to participate in.´ After Ola´s conference traveled some of the participants from Lund went to the WFA conference in Seattle and met several of the participants from the US there. Ola´s conference in Lund was a given conversation topic.

Expected long term effects

The conference presentations were of a very high quality and were accompanied by lively and interesting discussions. We received several very positive comments from conference participants. That those who we later met at the WFA conference in Seattle mentioned Ola´s conference in Lund indicates both that the conference was appreciated, and that the conference helped to make Lund better known among finance researchers.

Approach and implementation

The conference sessions were held in the Old Bishop´s house (Gamla Biskopshuset) in Lund and the conference dinner was served at the Grand Hotel in Lund. The conference went smoothly, without interruptions or technical malfunctions, and the dinner at the Grand was appreciated.
