Important results from the project

The project aimed to define and implement a solution that enables local changes in an edge compute environment while the network connection to the central edge orchestrator is down. When network connectivity to the central solution is restored, a well-defined solution must resolve the conflicts.

Expected long term effects

The project implemented a flexible solution where a local administrator can perform changes locally on the edge: install, uninstall edge applications, reconfigure applications, etc. When the network connection is re-established, sites that have local changes are marked with a clear flag that local changes have been made. The central operator can choose to keep the local change or let it follow the central one.
