Purpose and goal

The project aims to investigate the conditions for cooperation between Swedish mobility actors and Drive AI at UC Berkeley. The goal is to deepen relations and investigate how a knowledge exchange around AI and autonomous vehicles can be structured. The work will result in a draft of a future plan and a letter of intent describing the parties´ ambitions and possible forms of long-term collaboration.

Expected effects and result

Stage 1 is expected to result in a deeper understanding of Drive AI´s ecosystem and a joint statement of intent on future collaboration. The work will lead to a basis for how Swedish actors can access research and policy development in AI and mobility. In the long term, this can strengthen the ability of Swedish authorities to design regulations and contribute to a more sustainable and safe transport system through international knowledge exchange.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is being implemented in three stages: preparations, a stay in California for dialogue, and the development of a joint plan for stage 2.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
