Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to identify and if possible, initiate cooperation between SP and INMETRO and if possible, involve Swedish and Brazilian companies. As regards Subarea 1 and 2 have the purpose and goals achieved. For Subarea 3 and 4, the collaboration of different reasons not taken off.
Expected long term effects
The result in subarea 1 on atmospheric disturbances are very interesting and leads to greater cooperation with INMETRO and hopefully other stakeholders. It also leads to scientific publications and conference papers. Discussions on further forms of cooperation and funding is ongoing between INMETRO and SP. Subarea 2 ´High voltage calibration´ have project entailed discussions about possibilities for cooperation. There is also interest from industry although there is still a long way to go. Areas 3 and 4 did not obtain the expected results.
Approach and implementation
Project design was based in part on the presumed expectations and somewhat vague discussions. SP and InMetros familiarity with each other was something lacking. This explains til largely the outcomes in the four areas that were handled in the project. If the project would reboot or a continuation could be accomplished we would propose some changes to a certain extent.
