Important results from the project
The project as a whole has achieved the set objective regarding identifying and prioritizing content and continuing to establish in-depth collaboration. The forms for running the collaboration arena have been discussed but remain to be set.
The project has enabled in-depth dialogue, a common picture of one´s own and others´ challenges and worked with priorities with increased demand as a focus for higher resource efficiency and circularity in the supply of gravel and stone products.
Expected long term effects
Increased use of recycled gravel and stone products and thereby contribute to a higher degree of increased resource efficiency and circularity that creates the conditions for reduced climate impact and lowered costs.
An increasingly improved collaboration between actors in the business ecosystem, increased knowledge and ability that also makes the transition faster towards a common goal
Approach and implementation
The project is run by SBMI and Ecoloop in collaboration between the Swedish Transport Administration with support by Infrasweden/Vinnova. The work has included valuable conversations, in-depth interviews, workshops, participation in internal industry meetings with many key players. The result is a concrete proposal for establishment and activities in an industry initiative that first focuses on increasing demand - a strategically important lever for getting circular materials into practical use.
