Important results from the project
The project "Platform for decentralized collaboration between retail and brands" has aimed to develop test and evaluate new ecosystem-based business models for retail, in which traditional physical retail collaborates digitally with global brands. A prototype platform with which the brand´s reseller delivers or provides the brands´ web order for collection has been built and evaluated, with the aim of forming a basis for future commercialization.
Expected long term effects
The most important results from the project "Platform for decentralized collaboration between retail and brands" is that the project has shown that an ecosystem-based business model for retail, in which traditional physical retail collaborates digitally with global brands, can work, both technically and commercially. The project has developed lessons that are of great value for future commercialization.
Approach and implementation
The project has been implemented in the form of 10 work packages, aimed at analysis and requirements, development of the prototype and evaluation of the prototype. The work has been iterative, ie insights and conclusions from the early stages of the project have been challenged and refined based on results during the later stages of the project. Some work packages have been implemented in other ways than planned, as an adjustment for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
