Venture Challenge-Driven Innovation – Stage 1 initiation

Purpose and goal

This project put the citizen in focus. When the citizen is in need of help, they may turn to the public sector or the civil society. There are, however, no routines or networks to support cooperation between these sectors. By forming easier paths between healthcare and civil society, the conditions for good and equal health increases. The project has created networks where public and civil actors can work together in the local community to solve common problems. The project has developed new routines that streamline and facilitate the work of the organisations in each sector.

Expected results and effects

The Synergiverkstad, the LISA network and website are the results of deeper cooperation between healthcare and the civil society. This will hopefully lead to lower thresholds for agreements and new channels for discussing societal challenges. The effects are expected to be; new solutions, new ways for the citizen to obtain help, and hopefully a more efficient utilization of social resources relevant to the area.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has tested new models with positive results. The project has focused on networking and relationship building, where the focus has been on anchoring the project idea to important key figures as well as testing the developed models. The implementation has shown good results that indicate synergies useful in the continued work after project end. The project has also identified a number of areas of improvement, and problem formulations, that may be subjects of a step 2-project. These are described in the report’s appendix.
