Important results from the project
In the project, RISE developed, tested and evaluated the most important parts of a city district-wide cooperation model for mobility solutions. The project prepared upscaling and dissemination to other city districts. The solution is based on interconnected services that together create a cohesive mobility system with high accessibility throughout the city district Gamlestaden.
Expected long term effects
Ultimately, the project led to people living, working in, and visiting Gamlestaden gaining access to fossil-free, electrified, cost-effective, shared mobility. Continued access is ensured by responsibility for the Gamlestaden Mobilitet brand, its organization, and web solution, being taken over by Föreningen Fastighetsägare in Gamlestaden. One car pool provider increased during the project period from making car pool available in one location with three cars to ten cars in four locations. "It would never have worked without the collaboration model"
Approach and implementation
In close collaboration with BID Gamlestaden, RISE led collaboration between real estate actors and vehicle pool suppliers in which collaborative structures and organization were hammered out. The solution was publicly tested for a number of months and led to a significant increase in vehicle rentals in the district. Evaluations indicate that the service is appreciated by users and companies.
