Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** A citizens´ panel was carried out and this produced 40 recommendations on how it can become possible for everyone to eat more sustainably, which was used as a basis in a government assignment. An evaluation was carried out with aim of evaluating whether use of the method could strengthen the Swedish Food Agency´s innovative capacity, the quality of the work and the participants´ trust in the Swedish Food Agency.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The citizen panel consisted of 60 people and its recommendations are used as a basis in the government assignment, which is expected to contribute insights about citizens´ perspectives to the government assignment results, but also to other similar project. The evaluation resulted in lessons learned from using the method, and these are expected to inform future decisions about using similar methods. The lessons learned have also been communicated and this is expected to create an interest in citizen panels in Sweden and possibly the method being used.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Cooperation between the Swedish Food Agency and the consulting agency Digidem lab worked smoothly and efficiently. The process was intensive due to the short deadline, but the team managed to reflect and gather insights regarding the implementation. The participants in the citizen´s panel generally had a positive experience thanks to the personal communication from Digidem lab. The content of the dialogue was successfully steered towards the topics that the Swedish Food Agency was interested in getting answers from the panel on.
