Reference number
Coordinator Chalmers Tekniska Högskola AB - Chalmers Tekniska Högskola Inst f Industri- & materialvetensk
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 500 000
Project duration October 2025 - March 2026
Status Completed
Venture Cluster of Excellence for Cutting-Edge Technologies - calls for proposals
Call Visions for world-leading research and innovation in strategic technology areas

Important results from the project

The vision that was formed for the proposal has been developed and anchored industrially as well as within research participating actors. The main part of a consortium has been formed where KTH in particular has been identified as a partner and identified technology areas have been involved. Internationally, contacts have been established with key actors in Europe, North America and Asia.

Expected long term effects

The international market for Sustainable and Circular Solutions is growing by 5-10% per year internationally, and the cluster has contributed to knowledge and technological progress being developed and building the foundation for this innovation. We see that a Swedish model for research and innovation combine good life quality and sustainable society with increased competitiveness. We see that groundbreaking technologies emerge by combining new perspectives and knowledge.

Approach and implementation

Research leaders at Chalmers collaborated in workshops, conducted interviews and survey´s with industrial actors. Collaboration with KTH and the Deeptech initiative was identified early, and representatives of other initiatives and competing actors (international and national) participated in the work. To some extent, doctoral students were involved in the work of compiling the data and industrial representatives also participated in the meetings. Consultants were engaged to support the process.
