Important results from the project
The arrangement with representatives from Swedish industry together with researchers from involved universities provided a good understanding of innovative research and industrial challenges. In general, the project has always worked towards developing an initiative that creates the conditions for circular materials technology and manufacturing. This has meant a focus that has then been linked to other initiatives with similar goals.
Expected long term effects
By means of ICME (Integrated Computational Materials Engineering) and aligned experimental methods are building the ability to develop and quality assure improved and new materials faster. This establishes a theory-based knowledge platform that is closely linked to the implementation of material solutions in industry. This takes time and the right material must be developed at the right time. Focus on circular materials technology promotes long-term development towards increased sustainability.
