Purpose and goal

This project is a feasibility study for a project where the aim is to increase the circularity of vehicle thermal management materials and to provide tools to create robust thermal management systems for zero-emission vehicles. The project will do this by developing knowledge and performance tests for aluminum corrosion and coating issues in thermal management systems.

Expected effects and result

The future project aims to develop: chemical analysis methods, performance tests for components, and knowledge on how to avoid corrosion and deposits in thermal management systems. This is expected to lead to shorter development times for zero-emission vehicles and increased circularity for thermal management materials. The pre-development project is expected to lead to an increased chance of success in the future project and increased knowledge in the area.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is a feasibility study for a larger project this pre-project is intended to investigate reducing the risks for the larger project. The pre-study aims to map possible designs of the future project through literature studies and laboratory work. The project will study real problems, repeat the problems in the laboratory and design tests that test the ability to withstand the problems. We also hope to be able to identify and engage other potential actors for future collaborations.
