Purpose and goal

"Child and youth´s journey" aims to revolutionize care for young people with mental health challenges through AI. Inspections in four municipalities have revealed critical deficiencies such as fragmentation and knowledge gaps, which create obstacles in care. The project will use AI to improve screening and care coordination, enabling faster, more coordinated and proactive interventions. The project´s objective is thus to improve the care and intervention chain for children and young people with mental illness.

Expected effects and result

- Improved availability and response time by reducing the waiting times for support, assessment, intervention and treatment. - Streamlined care and intervention process by reducing the administrative burden for staff. Also contributes to the profession being able to free up time to focus on the individual rather than documentation, or to be available to more children/young people with mental illness. - Measurable objective for children and young people: o Halving the number of placed children. o 0- vision around suicide. o 98% of children and young people get passing grades in school.

Planned approach and implementation

1. Kapacitet AI: gather and develop capabilities to increase AI capabilities in employees and lay the foundations for data sharing between organizations. 2. Quality assurance before implementation: addressing aspects of a needs-driven approach to testing, evaluating and procuring AI solutions. 3. AI in practice: deal with various aspects of a practical pilot to test and evaluate AI solutions with aim of creating a practical understanding of AI solutions and evaluating different ways of using AI in businesses.
