Important results from the project
The pre-study "Certified to LAST" has contributed with a work package to the application of the full-scale project VIVACE where producers of different product categories participate in establishing an innovative and neutral platform for circular economy-based competition, where producers can make verified claims about higher product sustainability performance through significantly increased product life.
Expected long term effects
The result strongly contributes to increased lifespan of products and production systems, reduced wastage along the product´s entire life cycle and value chain, and increased use of renewable raw materials.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out in close contact with the companies and the researchers, and over time developed a new consortium around the solution, based on some companies choosing not to proceed and some new companies choosing to join instead. In this way, the feasibility study has established a stable base for the main project where all parties are motivated and add value to the whole. In addition, a number of external seminars were held in larger and smaller networks to communicate the concept of "Certified to LAST".
