Important results from the project

The work within the project has shown significant energy savings and efficient cooling for Centropy´s technology compared to conventional solutions. A production line and costs has been described and calculated. An IP-strategy has been developed and a Swedish patent has been registered as well as an international PCT application. A large number of contacts has been established and dialogues been held with international organizations, which however has not led to any business deals yet.

Expected long term effects

The project has meant that Centropy has been able to further develop their technology from small scale trials and shown the functionality in realistic scale. The contact established during the project has highlighted the challenges of the technology and even though some have been solved, some remain and has proved to be difficult to overcome. These are the main reason why we hve not reached desired collaborations and necessary financing for the pilot plant which was the next planned step.

Approach and implementation

The technical work has been carried out in-house but where there has been needs a dialogue has been held with already established contacts under NDA. The work on IP-strategy and patent applications has been carried out in a deep collaboration with a small team at a Swedish patent bureau. To establish contacts with the large international organisations a collaboration with a bureau in corporate finance has been going on and our own network has also been used to find the right entrances and create a dialogue with the right persons.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
