Funding from Vinnova SEK 29 200 000
Project duration April 2023 - April 2025
Status Ongoing

Purpose and goal

This project aims to establish CCRM Nordic as a national infrastructure for the commercialization of advanced therapies. The infrastructure will bridge an important gap in the Swedish innovation system by offering support to developers both in academia, healthcare and industry. The goal of the project is to establish CCRM Nordic as a sustainable national infrastructure for the commercialization of advanced therapies.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to contribute to Swedish and Nordic-developed ATMP products being able to be market approved and made available to patients on the global market. By cooperating with Nordic actors and starting from an ecosystem perspective, the ambition is to contribute to the industrialization of ATMP in the Nordics and thereby create jobs both in development and manufacturing as well as in healthcare. As part of a global network of collaborating hubs, increased internationalization is also an expected results.

Planned approach and implementation

In addition to CCRM Nordic itself, the project engages an established industry consortium consisting of small, medium and large companies that develop both therapies and enabling technologies. The industry consortium´s actors are central to the implementation of the project and necessary to be able to start up the business and design the infrastructure and service offering that will be in demand during the first years activities. The working method must be based on an inclusive attitude and cooperation that creates synergies with other initiatives and structures in the area.
