Important results from the project

The goals that were set out from start have been met. The EIC Application was submitted and passed the first stage of evaluation (short proposal). Evaluation and lab trials with several water treatment technologies have been carried out and four main methods for treatment have been selected. The process of writing the application helped structure the activities under the relevant TRL and led to the decision to go for the October deadline, increasing the chances of passing the full proposal.

Expected long term effects

The project supports C-Green´s application for the EIC Accelerator. The project has helped structure the activities under the relevant TRL, which will increase the chances to pass the full proposal evaluation stage and funding for development and commercialization. In the long run, solving the treatment of the HTC filtrate and providing treatment solutions at a reasonable cost benefit will be the game changer and breakthrough for HTC and a key differentiator for C-Green versus competition.

Approach and implementation

The project has been implemented according to plan. WP1: The short proposal was submitted in collaboration with EuroFunding on January 2 and approved under the European Commission on February 7, 2025. WP2: Several treatment technologies were evaluated in lab scale tests and four selected for further testing. A test rigg for testing in a continuous stream is now being built. WP3: The risk evaluation and mitigation led to the decision to go for the October deadline for the full proposal.
