Important results from the project
During the project period, verification support has been provided to small and knowledge-intensive companies in the Life Science area, through an incubator environment. the contribution as a whole are considered to have reduced business uncertainties, increased business competence and expanded the network of entrepreneurs in the companies.
Expected long term effects
During the project period, 16 Life Science companies originating from the industry- and the healthcare sectors received verification support from Sting. Business uncertainties such as market-, regulatory-, health economics-, IPR- and financing- issues have been addressed. With the help of experienced and competent people, early skills and insights have been added to the entrepreneurs/companies and thus helped companies to focus more quickly on their core issues.
Approach and implementation
Evaluation and qualification of companies has originated from the Stockholm region "deal-flow". Verification support has been tailored to suit every startup company individually. Selected companies have gained access to experienced people whom they have met on a regular basis. The length of the verification project has varied between 1-6 months and in most cases several verification issues have been addressed.
