Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to create a competitive proposal with a strong consortium. The ambition were to bring companies that contribute to identifying problems, a system analysis and participate in the work to solve the challenges with innovative methods and products. The consortium consisted of 24 partners, of which four research institutes, four universities, three NGOs and 13 companies. The proposal was sent to Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL6-2024-FARM2FORK-02-7). Several other applications with parts of the consortium have been submitted to various EU calls after the initial proposal.
Expected long term effects
A strong consortium was formed, which strengthens RISE network and future international collaborations. A proposal was submitted to HORIZON-CL6-2024-FARM2FORK-02-7, and we expect to be invited to submit the stage 2 proposal. Further, we gained deeper knowledge of companies´ needs regarding climate adaptation and climate impact of aquaculture, as well as relevant solutions to the challenges.
Approach and implementation
A strategic analysis to identify the needs of European aquaculture and relevant actors within the current issues. Individual meetings were held with actors, which resulted in several partnes being able to be join the consortium. RISE were writing and completing the proposal, which we succeeded in doing. Based on the fact that a strong consortium with several different actors was created, a proposal was sent in which has been followed by more invitations to more EU applications, the analysis is that the implementation was successful.
