Call Visions for world-leading research and innovation in strategic technology areas

Important results from the project

The project has largely carried out the planned activities and achieved most of its goals. However, changes in the call have led to an increased focus on collaboration and consolidation, which has been time-consuming. Overall, the objective has been met: to lay the foundation for an excellence cluster application positioning Sweden in trustworthy AI-based systems, supported by a strong consortium with national and international engagement.

Expected long term effects

The prestudy has built strong networks and collaborations, creating lasting momentum for future partnerships. By bridging foundational AI research with societal goals and advancing practices like technological–regulatory co-evolution, it lays the groundwork for a scalable research and innovation cluster, strengthening long-term capacity, coordination, and impact in trustworthy AI development.

Approach and implementation

The project was largely carried out according to plan, involving the division of work into several parallel activities which were coordinated by the core team. The whole consortium of partners acted as a reference group (meeting once a month for updates), but partners also engaged within the work activities and in one major workshop (where all partners joined), further complemented by individual meetings.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
