Important results from the project

The project has brought together large parts of the advanced materials ecosystem around the vision of creating a cluster that accelerates the use of advanced materials to improve products and processes in sustainable, resilient value chains. The three initiatives are proposed; national collaboration arena for advanced materials, five long-term funding tracks and strenghten competence supply.

Expected long term effects

The area of advanced materials has much to gain from working with synergies and collaborations. In the project, actors have been brought together around common needs and intend to continue working to realize solutions for these. This increases the possibility of using advanced materials in products and industrial processes. In the longer term, with continued effort, this can lead to increased competitiveness for Swedish companies.

Approach and implementation

The work was carried out in four activities: Vision – formulation of the vision together with original stakeholders Ecosystem – contacts with additional actors and other cluster initiatives Challenges – prioritization of activities to achieve the vision Implementation – formulation of proposals for the design of a collaboration arena A larger workshop has been carried out, supplemented by discussions in smaller groups and with individual actors.
