Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The goal of this project has been to develop collaboration and a competitive proposal for HORIZON call for proposals Bio-printing of living cells for regenerative medicine TOPIC ID: HORIZON-HLTH-2024-TOOL-11-02 together with, among other things, two clinical actors from Germany and one actor from France. We have focused our proposal BIOSHAPE on Bioprinting of vascularized tissue to revolutionize soft tissue reconstruction. We focus on trauma and cancer patients who need new tissue after soft tissue damage, which includes breast reconstruction.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We have: *formed a consortium with German and French partners *initiated a new collaboration and deepened existing collaboration with German and French partners *planned the development of new bioprinting technologies for vascularized tissue *developed a plan to move bioprinting to the operating room *contacted the Swedish Medicines Agency and the EMA to discuss regulatory needs to be able to bioprint in the clinic *developed and submitted very competitive proposal (ID 101191556) to the HORIZON program TOPIC ID: HORIZON-HLTH-2024-TOOL-11-02

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We have divided the work and the project into two tracks; clinical and technology. Initially, we have created work packages and selected leaders. The innovation platform registered proposal and began work with Part A of proposal that contains information about the actors and budget. APTAB took care of work with Part B which is the technical description. During the first month, we have agreed on which objective the project has and how different work packages should be developed to reach the set objective. In the final version there were 9 work packages.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
