Purpose and goal

The project has established a business development echo system with a strong national and international profile. This has been achieved through, e.g., - The development of a three-step process for companies in the bioeconomy area. The process has been partly tested. The process comprises the phases; Pressure, Analysis and Expansion - Cooperation established with industrial partners - Cooperation established with leading actors within the bioeconomy area - Establishment of an investor network with a bioeconomy focus commenced .

Expected results and effects

- A major influx of business ideas/companies from various places and countries. Until now 71 companies have been in contact with Sting Bioeconomi . - Today we work with companies from the Nordic countries and from Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland and the US - Seven companies are today in the Expansion phase and 11 companies in the Analysis phase - Three companies in the expansion phase are in the process to establish business on the international market.

Planned approach and implementation

The project result is a solid basis for continued development of influx of business ideas/companies as well as Sting Bioeconomis own capabilities to meet the generated demand. The project has been focusing mainly on three different areas: - A unique three-step-process for growth - An investor arena with bioeconomy focus (with Almi) - National/international marketing for influx of business ideas and new partners The project has proved that the environment round the regional specialist area, forest bioeconomy, has a great potential for incubation of both national and international companies.
