Important results from the project
The project has achieved its goals on time and according to budget. An app that shows blood sugar in relation to effort is available for IOS. Integration for lactate samples and ketones can be displayed as points. Unique key figures are calculated from collected data and contribute to reducing the cognitive work that is the basis for the user´s treatment decisions. Furthermore, this product has broadened its aim and target group and, with a customized interface and more integrations to medical devices, can contribute to making life easier for all families living with type 1 diabetes.
Expected long term effects

That the system is now available enables the basis for further development. CE labelling, in-depth collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and regulatory issues, pose challenges that need to be overcome. On the other hand, Beep is an in-demand, unique service that can lead to real everyday improvement for the user. We see lots of development potential from this basic version.
Approach and implementation

Agile work with app development, database modeling, integration with different devices, tests with healthy athletes at all levels, data collection, strategic analysis and marketing activities. Initial work on data science and AI has begun. Close collaboration with the owners of needs and a good understanding of the health care perspective has been another success factor.
