Bearing wooden foundation

Reference number
Coordinator MW KRONBORGEN HOLDING AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 50 000
Project duration January 2016 - April 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

A feasibility study where we start to look at the prospects for the bearing Wood Foundation. There, the wood used in construction conditions in an optimal way. As well as designing and planning a project for a main for this. Reconciling design solution ´platta on mark´ with trats ability to sequester carbon can help to significantly increase the amount of intercalated atmospheric carbon in buildings and contribute to less human influence on climate.

Results and expected effects

I have as a project manager and design engineer continuously during the project time working with ideas about the structure and in the discussions, with my partner developed the supporting wood foundation construction. Chalmers University of Technology and SP Technical Research Institute also contributed investigative work in thermal analysis and moisture review. These facts, aspects and views have been incorporated in the theoretical models of the supporting wood foundation and prepare practical testing of the design in detail and the whole.

Approach and implementation

In a nascent stage have discussions been a good forum to get ahead for the design and optimization of possible design solutions, design and materials . Even around the main focus of the study group members have discussed , visualized and examined the issues that can cause problems and how wood properties are used in the best way possible , and the importance to distinguish evaluate readings and measurement.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
