Bag of groceries in homecare

Purpose and goal

The purpose of this project has been to develop a basis for a continuation of the project, and to create an application for a project idea for quick and easy meals in homecare for elderly. The main objective of the project has also been to develop a project plan. Supporting documents and a first draft of the project plan have been created. The purpose and objective of the project have been fulfilled.

Results and expected effects

Supporting documents and the analysis show that the idea is valid and should be further examined. The elderly people that have answered the survey, or tried the product, have been positive to the idea and willing to use it, depending on the cost. An application will be made for the next announcement in the autumn of 2015.

Approach and implementation

The arrangement included focus groups with elderly people. An invitation to dialogue was also sent on three occasions, but only a few participants accepted the invitation. Study visits have not been performed because of a lack of appropriate targets. Training in quick and easy cooking has been offered to home care staff. Six elderly people were given the opportunity to try the project model. The project group´s analysis shows that the project idea is valid and should be tried further. The target group is cost sensitive, which must be taken into consideration when implementing the project.
