Important results from the project
The aim of the visit to Singapore was to network and establish contacts with relevant parties in the food tech and agri tech sector. The aim and goals of the visit have been very well met. Visit to different agencies such as Singapore Food Agency and Nanyang Technological University and Republic Polytechnic, and to other private food and agri tech companies were rewarding. During the visits and meetings it was understandable that there is a clear focus and strong acceleration towards production of sustainable food in Singapore.
Expected long term effects
The result of the visit has been rewarding in terms of understanding the local market conditions for sustainable food and alternative proteins such plant based proteins. A large number of contacts have been established ranging from investors to government agencies to private companies focussed in pushing for a sustainable food production. The contacts established will be taken up further to deepen our collaboration.
Approach and implementation
The overall planning and execution of the trip was well planned. The visits to different agencies related to food and agri tech was rewarding the resulted in establishing contacts with potential partners. There was adequate time to meet different parties and deeper dialogues were coordinated to take further to deeper collaborations.
