Purpose and goal
The aim is to develop the future monitoring and sampling system for pathogen detection in MBR effluent by combing a pilot prototype with AQUATRACK® and ozone polishing and to demonstrate the benefits of early detection of contamination and removal of bacteria and drug residues in purified treated waste water for reuse or irrigation. The goal is for our innovative project idea to be tested in a real industrial environment and showcase the benefit of quality-controlled reuse of water.
Expected results and effects
By online monitoring, taking the right water samples at the time of contamination and purify MBR/STP treated effluent by ozone polishing we want to demonstrate that it is possible and cost effective to monitor water quality in real time, to take water samples at contamination and to clean this effluent water so it can be safely reused for different applications, like irrigation and aquifer recharge. Results will be published on Aqua-Q´s website.
Planned approach and implementation
AQUATRACK® will monitor MBR / STP effluent online and take water samples on contamination, even manual water samples will be taken for analysis. We also plan to carry out simulation attempts. Fecal bacterial analyzes, e.g. e-coli and coliform, will be done with MBS MultiReader in place. Drug residues in purified wastewater (MBR / STP) will be analyzed by IVL or another accredited laboratory.
