Purpose and goal
Annual award for the best initiative within civil society 2017 is a project that The National Forum for Voluntary Organizations run with support by Vinnova and IBM Sweden. With the award we want to encourage social innovation within civil society but also give attention to social initiatives within Swedish NGO:s today.
Expected results and effects
That both the finalists and the winner of the best initiative within civil society 2017 get a lot of attention especially at the International Volunteer day the 5th of December, a day mandated by the UN General Assembly. Thereby we can encourage other initiatives to continue their work for a better world.
Planned approach and implementation
Our project plan went well and during November we focused on to coordinate the work for the jury so they could choose the finalists and the winner. In November we also communicate the finalists and planned for the big event on the International Volunteer day the 5th of December. A day mandated by the UN General Assembly. During December focus was on the event and to communicate the winner both to traditional media, in social media and in Forum’s different communication channels that reach out very wide within the civil society in Sweden.
