Reference number
Coordinator Innovatum Progress AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 983 009
Project duration November 2024 - November 2025
Status Completed
Venture Advanced digitalization - Electrification
Call Advanced digitalisation - electrification in 2024

Important results from the project

AIDE – Advance Industry, Digitalisation & Electrification has valuable results. From sensor data with machines on the factory floor to development scenarios for industrial areas. Several actors now see co-development potential. Steering electrical power can connect individual manufacturing companies in an industrial area. Noted at Sveriges Innovationsriksdag and internationally with, among others, IEEE ISG (Intelligent Sustainable Grid) >1.5 billion data points ‘Automating Energy Intelligence´.

Expected long term effects

Strategic, tactical and operational gains with AIDE – Advance Industry, Digitalisation & Industry electrification currently embrace a new level of transformation, e.g. needs ´behind/ahead of the meter´. Flex give tactical benefits during uncertainty/volatility. Operational advantages are that different functions (e.g. IT/OT, production planning, real estate) include co-development (e.g. electricity grid owners, energy companies, municipality and innovation actors).

Approach and implementation

Collaboration forms that include IT/OT and factorý floor as starting point. Five steps for agile iterations 1) Map/potential 2) Prioritise/estimate 3) Procur/install 4) Test data flow/calibrate 5) Measure/control/optimise. ICE 61850 (Smart Grid Arch Model) as standard reference and innovation lead. Connected >10 machines and furnaces (approx. 10% of equipment, approx. 40% of power) in visualisation and analysis. Scenario development for industry and area to reach a new level of co-development.
