Purpose and goal

The project aimed to investigate how AI can be realized and used in a horizontal IoT platform and a vertical IoT service for real estate. The project has identified and integrated appropriate AI frameworks with Sensatives IoT platform Yggio and identified how AI can strengthen the platform´s quality assurance of sensor data and how AI can be used to expand the functionality of the platform´s automation rule engine. The project also resulted in an implemention and an increased understanding of how AI / ML can be used by an IoT service provider to predict energy consumption in properties.

Expected results and effects

The project has validated how AI is implemented in the underlying IoT platform Yggio from Sensative and in Abiro´s application layer in order to be able to offer increased customer value to our property customers. Both companies have built up new technology solutions and knowledge and experience to better determine when and where AI / ML is appropriate to use and the complexity to implement it.

Planned approach and implementation

The work was carried out in two work packages. AP1: Evaluation & implementation of AI / ML in the IoT platform Yggio. AP2: Implementation of AI / ML in use case with service. Both work packages have been carried out according to plan. The project has provided the insight that the underlying platform Yggio and the application warehouse from Abiro need an AI / ML framework each. Partly to create independence, but also based on the fact that the platform and the service have different needs.
