Call Development projects within incubators 2025

Purpose and goal

The project develops a methodology that addresses a growing challenge in the incubator system: startups lack reliable, energy-efficient and bias-minimised sustainability analyses. Research shows that AI can both enable and inhibit SDG targets, partly due to high energy use and limited transparency. Through an EU-based, deterministic hybrid-AI, the project creates verifiable scenarios that strengthen incubators’ support and make sustainability a business-driven advantage nationally.

Expected effects and result

The project provides startups with faster and more accurate analyses of social, environmental and economic impact—aligned with research showing that AI can support more than 130 SDG targets but requires methods that reduce bias and energy dependency. Incubators gain a methodology that raises the quality of business development and can be scaled nationally. In the long term, gender equality, sustainability and competitiveness in the Swedish incubator system are strengthened.

Planned approach and implementation

The project’s detailed implementation plan will be developed jointly with project partners at the kick-off on 15 December. The kick-off will define the working methodology, division of responsibilities and priority activities prior to project start, in line with Vinnova’s requirements for quality, traceability and national relevance.
